The first of the East End St. Patrick’s Day parades launch on Saturday, March 9 and continue through Saturday, March 30.
One of the quickest marches, the 11th annual Am O’Gansett St. Patrick’s Day Parade, (www.amagansettchamber.org), is also one of the first. The celebration will head down Main Street on Saturday, March 9 at 12 p.m. – but make sure to be prompt or you might just miss it.
The Westhampton Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade (whbstpats.com) is also on Saturday, March 9 at 12 p.m. Led by Grand Marshal Aram Terchunian – who selected this year’s “Dawg Days of Summer” parade theme – the parade will step off from in front of the Westhampton Beach Elementary School on Mill Road and will continue south toward Main Street. Once there, it will turn west before finishing on the corner of Main Street and Sunset Avenue.
The 15th annual Hampton Bays St. Patrick’s Day (www.hbaohdivision11.com) will take place on Saturday, March 23 at 11.m. Grand Marshal Steve Lemanski will lead the festivities which will begin at the Hampton Bays Elementary School on Ponquogue Avenue to Montauk Highway, travel west towards the reviewing stand, and end at the Hampton Atrium parking lot.
The 57th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade (www.montaukfriendsoferin.org) will take place on Sunday, March 24. Stepping off at Edgemere Road at 12 p.m., the parade marches up Edgemere Road and turns on to Main Street where it passes the reviewing stand on the green under the watchful eye of MC Rick White and culminates at the end of Main Street by the IGA. As per usual, there will be hot soup ladled by Montauk Chamber of Commerce on the green starting at 10 a.m. Served in a St. Patrick’s Day Parade souvenir mug, the soups are made and donated by local eateries.
And, there will also be several festivities leading up to New York’s second largest St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The 16th Annual Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner will take place at the The Point Bar & Grill on Saturday March 9 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The Behan’s Annual Grand Marshal Luncheon, honoring “Gordon Ryan Esq,” will be on Friday, March 22 from 12 to 3 p,m. at Gurney’s Inn. The Montauk St. Patrick’s Day Parade Gala Cocktail Party will be held at at Gurney’s Inn Saturday March 23 from 4 to 8 p.m. The soiree will include a food buffet, open bar and a live band with Remember September.
East End Emerald Society (eastendemeraldsociety.com) will present its Sixth Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in the town of Jamesport on Saturday, March 30. Led by 2019 Grand Marshal, Former Chief of Police, Joseph Grattan Sr., the march will commence at North Railroad Avenue and Washington Avenue at 12 p.m., making its way to the Jamesport Fire Department.
