Inaugural Hamptons Charity Tag Sale To Support East Hampton-Based After School Program

Kristen Catalano

Project MOST students recently took part in a boat-making workshop at the Watermill Center with artist Aurelio Torres, in collaboration with OLA.

On Saturday, June 3, get ready to scour Hampton Racquet in search of unique finds during the inaugural Give a Kid a Summer, a charity tag sale benefiting Project MOST. Give a Kid a Summer will take place at Hampton Racquet from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a rain date of Sunday, June 4.

"This tag sale, Give A Kid A Summer, is a fantastic example of how a local business, Hampton Racquet, owned by John and Monica Graham have extended their club and their time to help raise money for Project MOST," said Susan Hanley, Development Director for Project MOST. "This effort supports our work, our children and our community."

In addition to the tag sale, the family friendly event will also feature food, beverages, and activities for the kids.

"Saturday, June 3rd will be a great day with something for everyone," shared Hanley. "We have incredible items that have been donated by generous members of our community. We have everything from antiques, art, sporting equipment, toys, china, jewelry and more!"

Proceeds from the event will support Project MOST's summer expansion program at Most Holy Trinity Catholic School in East Hampton.

"Everyone will have a great time and will be able to meet great people in the relaxed family oriented environment of Hampton Racquet," added Hanley.

Additionally, the winner of Project MOST's win a Tesla S Model for 24 Hours contest will be announced during the tag sale. Tickets are current available at networkforgood.org. Arrangements will be made with your local Tesla location and is subject to availability. Tickets are $25 for one and $50 for three.

Project MOST, a 501c3 organization, was founded in 2000. Originally part of the East Hampton Day Care Center, its first class included 60 children from the John Marshall Elementary School in East Hampton. In 2005 Project MOST became a separate nonprofit and has since flourished; now serving three schools and over 300 children. Project MOST's main goal is that no student is left home alone in our community after school. The organization offers programs such as mentoring, dance/music classes, karate and homework help. Most of this organization's funding comes from public funding and specialty grants.

Hampton Racquet is located at 172 Buckskill Road in East Hampton. For more information, call 631-655-4586 or visit www.projectmost.com

Hampton Luxury Liner
Hampton Luxury Liner was started in 2000 as a more luxurious way to travel from NYC to the Hamptons and back. The clientele quickly grew and over the years Hampton Luxury liner became the preferred method of transportation to the Hamptons and NYC for many living in NYC and the Hamptons that wanted a comfortable and affordable way to travel back and forth. In 2009, HLL was taken over by Classic Coach and things with the liner didnít change to much for years and the owner there changed the buses to Prevost as opposed to Mercedes Setra Top Class Coaches that have always been a signature of the liner.
