Is your little one upset they won't be staying up to watch the Times Square New Year's Eve ball drop?

Grab your sparkly, light up party hats and festive accessories and join Children's Museum of the East End (CMEE) on Saturday, December 31st for its annual family-friendly New Year's Eve celebration where children of all ages can enjoy CMEE's midday Hamptons Ball Drop.

"Our annual Ball Drop is such an incredibly unique opportunity for families to celebrate the New Year together," said Steve Long, the Museum's President. "There's really nothing else like it on the East End."

Before the countdown starts, attendees will prepare for the New Year by fashioning their own noisemakers, making resolutions for 2017 and commemorating the close of 2016 and the beginning of 2017 with a confetti-filled gathering that may inspire a winter tradition - make a "snow" confetti angel.

Since this is an incredibly popular event, CMEE will offer two sessions, the first from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (with an 11 a.m. Ball Drop) and the final festivity will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. (with a 2 p.m. Ball Drop)

"What better way to celebrate the end of 2016 and welcome the start of 2017?" asked Liz Bard, the Museum's Education Coordinator. "I look forward to our New Year's Eve party more than the ones meant just for grown-ups."

Admission is free for Museum Members and $14 per person for non-members. CMEE's Annual New Year's Eve Ball Drop does sell out regularly, so pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Note: the first session is sold out.

Children's Museum of the East End is located at 376 Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike in Bridgehampton. For more information, call 631-537-8250 or visit www.cmee.org.
