There's good news for families looking for an activity to entertain everyone this summer! On Saturday, July 23rd, the Children's Museum of The East End
's 8th Annual Family Fair will return, with plenty to do for the whole family.
This year, the theme will be CMEE Celebrates Heroes,
honoring local superheroes, such as first responders within the East End community. The celebration will include everything from "out-of-this-world" super-powered crafts and water rides to music, performances, and delicious, family-friendly food.
"At the crafts, games, rides and other activities during this year's Family Fair, kids can imagine themselves with superhero powers and meet local everyday heroes who help make our community a better place," noted Steve Long
, President of CMEE. "Proceeds from the Fair benefit our educational outreach programs, which ensure that every child in Eastern Long Island gets the opportunity to play and learn."

and Peter Hermann, Neil Patrick Harris
and David Burtka, Jane Krakowski
, Katie Lee
, Dan Abrams, Stacey Bendet
, Molly Sims
, Charlie and Lauran Walk, Tiffani Thiessen
and Brady Smith
The annual Family Fair will be fun times for a good cause, as it helps ensure that all families "regardless of ability, background, or income" can access the Museum. The proceeds from the Family Fair enable CMEE to make a difference in the lives of many children and families, as they welcome 65,000 visitors each year.
The Museum also works with Long Island Head Start, The Retreat
, and other local service agencies to help address critical issues in the East End community, such as literacy, early childhood education, and domestic violence.

Founded in 1997 by a group of eight local mothers, CMEE opened its current home in Bridgehampton in October 2005. With over 7,000 square feet of exhibition and program space designed by Lee Skolnick Architecture + Design Partnership, CMEE soon became one of the most visited museums in Eastern Long Island. CMEE upholds its mission "to spark imagination and foster learning for children of all backgrounds and abilities and to build strong connections within the East End community by providing playful experiences" by presenting educational exhibits and programs and by partnering with other arts and social service organizations to address issues that concern families in the community.
CMEE's Family Fair will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 23rd at the Children's Museum of the East End in Bridgehampton. Adult tickets are $150 in advance, or $200 at the door. Children's tickets are $100 in advance, or $150 at the door.
