On Saturday, February 27th, Sag Harbor will be bustling with locals and visitors braving the winter chill to take part in a beloved East End happening. "HarborFrost is now in its sixth year celebrating the winter season and the great Village of Sag Harbor, which is truly a year-round community," said Gavin Menu, a board member of the Sag Harbor Chamber of Commerce.

HarborFrost activities will commence with the Sag Harbor Ambulance's Frosty Plunge at Windmill Beach at 1 p.m. Admission is $20 with proceeds benefiting the Sag Harbor Ambulance. "Long Wharf will be bursting with activity on Saturday, February 27th with ice carving, fire dancing and juggling and of course a magnificent fireworks display over the harbor by Grucci," noted Menu. "There's also live music around town, where shops and restaurants are open for business."

At 2 p.m., watch in awe as a Live Ice Carving demonstration unfolds on the Long Wharf. From 2 to 6 p.m., the Long Wharf will host several other happenings including a bake sale supporting the Pierson Robotics Team 28', and the chance to meet representatives from Baron's Cove, Our Sons and Daughters School, The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Network, and Wellness Foundation. From 3 to 4 p.m., The Amazing Fire Juggler Keith Leaf will performance at the Windmill and Long Wharf. Dodds and Eder (11 Bridge Street, Sag Harbor) will be the place to bring the kids with several entertaining events taking place there, and special visitors from Sag Harbor Kids, Rainbow School, Barefoot Kids, The Wharf Shop, and "play food" representing Bay Burger dropping by. At 5:45 p.m., talented Fire Dancers will take over the Long Wharf. Other HarborFrost happenings will feature Eskimo ice sculptures on display throughout the Village shopping district, complimentary tattoos at the Wharf Shop (69 Main Street, Sag Harbor), and live music throughout the Village.

The festival will conclude with an international fireworks display with special effect pyrotechnics from Grucci starting around 6:15 p.m. "This is really the perfect setting and time for a performance," said Phil Grucci, President and Creative Director of Fireworks by Grucci. "Winter skies are a crisp blank canvas on which to paint striking, warm images." The Long Wharf and Sag Harbor Bay creates the perfect backdrop for the illuminating show. "These images will be reflected on the harbor below, creating a kaleidoscope of color and designs," added Grucci.
