The Montauk Playhouse Community Center Foundation is paying tribute to those who have bravely served our country during its Annual Flag Ceremony, taking place on Veterans Day (Wednesday, November 11th).
Open to all, the special ceremony will commence at 10 a.m., at the Suzanne Koch Gosman Flagpole Garden at the Montauk Playhouse Community Center. East End Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts will be on hand to help commemorate our heroes by leading the raising of the flag. The morning will also include a musical tribute featuring patriotic songs.
“We encourage the community and our veterans especially, to come to the Playhouse for this special event,” shared Maureen Rutkowski, Project Director, Montauk Playhouse Community Center Foundation. “It’s important as a community — young and old — that we pause on Veterans Day to honor and express our gratitude to our nation’s veterans.”
Following the event, attendees are invited to the Senior Nutrition Center Dining Room at the Center for coffee and snacks.
Montauk Playhouse Community Center is located at 240 Edgemere Street in Montauk. For more information, call 631-668-3760 or visit www.montaukplayhouse.org.
