For the third consecutive year, Long Island’s largest commercial real estate company, Rechler Equity Partners, teamed up with Maureen’s Haven Homeless Outreach to serve as the presenting sponsor of Maureen’s Haven’s annual summer Gala on Friday, July 24th. “While galas raise much-needed funds for agencies like ours, they can be expensive to mount,” explained Maureen’s Haven Board Chair Jacqueline Stein. “That’s why Maureen’s Haven is so grateful that Rechler Equity Partners once again underwrote the costs involved in presenting this annual event.”
This year’s disco themed soiree was held at the Hyatt Place in Riverhead. All proceeds from the evening benefited Maureen’s Haven, a not-for-profit that provides shelter, meals, and vocational and educational training to homeless adults and families on the East End.
“Their generosity and the generosity of our other sponsors allow the proceeds to directly benefit our shelter programs and day center,” said Stein. “I also want to express my sincere thanks to Michael Variale and the whole team at East End Entertainment for transforming the Hyatt Sea Star Ballroom into a ’70s-era disco.”
Event attendees were transported back in time to Studio 54 and Club Marakesh, for an evening of cocktails, dinner, a live and silent auction, and music by East End Entertainment. “Everyone had a great time dancing, visiting, and making new friends,” noted Stein.
