Following a successful debut summer season last year, Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons (ARF) has announced that the second season of their Lemonarf Stand, A Club for Kids, was also extremely profitable. ARF created the East End program as a way to engage young children and show that age doesn’t matter when it comes to giving back to the community.
Throughout the summer, children set up a Lemonarf Stand, where they sold a variety of items from lemonade to baked goods to homemade crafts and jewelry. The program was such a hit that ARF was constantly restocking stands with supplies of the free Lemonarf starter kits, which include cups, recipes, signs, buttons and a mini bank to collect donations. Molly and Alan Vashovsky were even lucky enough to have Ryan Seacrest stop by their Lemonarf Stand outside Red Horse Market in East Hampton for a cup of lemonade.
Through the Lemonarf Stand, the Club for Kids raised $4,500 for ARF’s animals. Children who participated in the ARF initiative were featured on ARF’s Facebook Page.
