To commemorate for the 200th birthday of a Southampton born slave who overcame hardship to become a local legend and a prominent figure in U.S. History, a movement is underway to relaunch the Agawam Ferry in the village of Southampton. The reopening will honor Pyrrhus Concer who first developed and operated the shuttle boat in the mid-1800's, transporting passengers from the village to the beach.

A group of Southampton residents hopes to run Pyrrhus' ferry route again and are proposing to run a daily ferry from sunrise to sunset throughout the months of July and August. Passengers would be transported from Agawam Park to Gin Lane and back on the ferry, named for and inspired by Pyrrhus.

Pyrrhus Concer ferry tickets will soon be available for purchase if all goes as scheduled. For more information and to contribute to the cause, visit www.agawamferry.org.

Hampton Luxury Liner
Hampton Luxury Liner was started in 2000 as a more luxurious way to travel from NYC to the Hamptons and back. The clientele quickly grew and over the years Hampton Luxury liner became the preferred method of transportation to the Hamptons and NYC for many living in NYC and the Hamptons that wanted a comfortable and affordable way to travel back and forth. In 2009, HLL was taken over by Classic Coach and things with the liner didnít change to much for years and the owner there changed the buses to Prevost as opposed to Mercedes Setra Top Class Coaches that have always been a signature of the liner.
