The 7th Annual Christopher’s Run in Southampton is taking place on Saturday, June 7, 2014. The East End run was established in the memory of Christopher Lesta, a local boy who passed away in December 2007 at the age of five from a rare and untreatable genetic disorder, Hunter Syndrome or MPS II. To continue his memory, the Christopher Lesta Fund, Inc. made a commitment of $50,000 to support the Pediatric Blood & Marrow Transplant Family Support Program at Duke University Medical Center in 2010. So far, the organization has raised $40,000, and the run could help them achieve their goal.
