Join the Southampton Village and the Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation (SASF) in celebrating the opening of the Southampton Village Dog Park at Lola Prentice Memorial Park on Sunday, June 8, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The event will feature a ribbon cutting ceremony followed, by the Southampton Animal Shelter’s Hamptons Dog Walk and a “Playing for Life” program conducted by its founder and SASF Director of Training and Behavior, Aimee Sadler.
Registration for the Southampton Animal Shelter’s Hamptons Dog Walk is $30, and will benefit the Shelter’s homeless pets. In addition, the event will feature food and drinks, a Chinese Auction with prizes from local businesses, and a canine costume parade hosted by Little Lucy’s Canine Couture.
The opening of this park represents the prominence of the Southampton community, who created a small committee, petitioned the Village for the park and then rose over $80,000 to fund the project.
