The Founders Affiliate of the American Heart Association’s 6th Annual Heart Ride on Saturday, May 17, is cycling through the Hamptons taking a scenic tour of the seaside villages. Cyclists can choose between three routes, a 27-mile course through Bridgehampton and Southampton; a 59-mile course that starts in Southampton and journeys to Amagansett and then back; or the 100-mile route, which starts in Southampton, travels all the way to Montauk, and then loops back to Southampton.
Proceeds from the ride benefits the American Heart Association, and helps fund lifesaving research, medical and consumer education and public advocacy. In 2008, the Founders Affiliate donated $25 million towards funding the American Heart Association’s mission of building healthier lives free of cardiovascular disease and stroke.
The 2014 Heart Ride is limited to 150 participants who must each commit to raising a minimum of $750.
