Before the Easter Bunny makes a magical stop at your house to drop off a delicious basket filled with festive sweets, here are eight Hamptons opportunities to join the quest to capture the most candy containing eggs and meet the legendary creature.

1. The Hampton Library (2478 Main Street, Bridgehampton, 631-537-0015, hamptonlibrary.org) will host their Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 12. The search will begin at 10 a.m. with a story and then head outside to seek for presents from the Easter Bunny.

2. The Hampton Bays Easter Egg Hunt is on Saturday, April 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hampton Bays United Methodist Church (158 West Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays). The charity exploration will also feature crafts, a bake sale, face painting, a Chinese Auction, and photos with a special guest. Proceeds from the afternoon will benefit a local family in need. Kids will hunt the library grounds for clues and then listen to a special story read by Quogue Librarian, Lonna. They will also make and fill a basket with treats. Registration is required.

4. The Greater Westhampton Chamber of Commerce Easter Egg Hunt and Scavenger Hunt (631-288-3337, www.whbcc.com) on the Great Lawn in Westhampton Beach Village is on Saturday, April 12, at 12 p.m. Hundreds of excited children take part in the tradition of searching for colorful stuffed Easter eggs. There are separate areas for hunting by age group and the Easter Bunny will be stop by.

5. Quogue Wildlife Refuge (3 Old Country Road, Quogue, 631-653-4771, quoguewildliferefuge.org) has two exciting events. On Friday, April 18, children can craft their own "nests" and color and decorate hard-boiled eggs to take home during Eggstravaganza. Then on Sunday, April 20, take a trip down Peter Cottontail's Trail to find the special spot on the Refuge for an egg hunt. Reservations are required for both events.
