For the past 19 years, the Goodale family has opened their hearts and home during the holidays to help spread holiday cheer to homeless children. The tradition will continue this year on Saturday, December 14, with The Goodale Holiday House Tour hosted by Dhonna and Bobby Goodale. The tour will raise funds for their Annual Shopping Spree for homeless children as well as help feed their families a traditional Christmas dinner.
So far, the family has helped over 1000 children and their families. “Bobby and I do not exchange Christmas gifts, instead we do this and we’ve been at it for 19 years together,” said Dhonna Goodale. “I personally have been doing this kind of Holiday Give Back for more than 30 years. Christmas is about taking care of the community in which you live.”
While walking throughout the house attendees will surely get in the festive spirit with 12 themed Christmas trees, live music with surprise musical guests, holiday movies in the cinema room, caroling around the fireplace, holiday cocktails, and a free raffle entry for a gourmet lunch.
The Goodale Holiday House Tour will take place on Saturday, December 14, from 12 to 6 p.m., with tours every hour. The last tour starts at 4:30 p.m., and reservations are required.
