BJ’s Charitable Foundation recently awarded a $5,000 grant to Retreat Inc., a Hamptons domestic violence services agency. The grant will go towards supporting life-saving legal advocacy and counseling services for domestic violence victims.
“The legal advocacy and counseling services supported by this grant will strengthen The Retreat’s capacity to deliver essential services that are designed to help victims of domestic violence living at our shelter move from a state of crisis to stability, and then to self sufficiency,” said Karen Ross, Program Director.
“The BJ’s Charitable Foundation is dedicated to supporting hunger prevention, self sufficiency, healthcare and education in the communities surrounding our Clubs,” said Jessica Newman, Executive Director of the BJ’s Charitable Foundation. “We hope these donations benefit the incredible efforts of our partners working to impact the lives of individuals and families and enable them to continue to provide crucial services to those in need.”
During the BJ’s Charitable Foundation’s current grant cycle, they have donated $754,220 to 108 nonprofit charitable organizations.
The Retreat is located at 13 Goodfriend Drive in East Hampton. For more information call 631-329-4398 or visit www.theretreatinc.org.
