The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons, Inc. (ARF) is hosting the 20th Annual “Stroll to the Sea” Dog Walk on Saturday, October 12, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The two-mile walk to the ocean will begin and end at the Mulford Farm in East Hampton.
Fundraising is easy, registrants can set up their own page or join a team on www.arfhamptons.org. Top raisers have the chance to win a spa treatment and basket of beauty from Naturopathica and dinner for two at The 1770 House, two tickets to “Fuerza Bruta” on Broadway with dinner at Yuerba Buena, or an 8 x 10 portrait of your pet by noted artist Ellen Silverberg. Children will be delighted with their top prize of a “Candy Spree” and gift bag from Dylan’s Candy Bar.
All participants will receive a free t-shirt which features artwork from designer Isaac Mizrahi, tote bag and 20th Annual Commemorative Frisbee, access to free nail clippings for their dogs, and refreshments like Starbucks Coffee and Dreesen’s Famous Donuts.
Following the stroll attendees can take part in contests which include Stupid Pet Tricks, The Pooch Who Can Smooch and Dog/Owner Look Alike. Winners will receive a crystal dog by Baccarat. The morning will also feature a performance from singer/songwriter Sandy Rapp, silent auction, Chinese Auction and sketches of your dog by artist Lynn Matsuoka.
The registration fee is $25 for adults and free for children under 16.
