Eastern Suffolk homeowners and business owners affected by Superstorm “Sandy” will be provided with expert assistance when applying for federal recovery funding at a meeting in the Hamptons. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, those who have questions about the application process should stop by the temporary center located at the Rogers Memorial Library in Southampton. This comes in response to a request from Congressman Tim Bishop who stated, “We fought hard for the federal aid Long Island deserves to recover from this devastating storm, and I urge those affected to apply for the support you need for your home or business”.
Representatives of the New York State Department of Financial Services (DFS) will be available to assist residents with applying for housing or business recovery assistance as well as with insurance-related issues stemming from damage caused by “Sandy”.
The Rogers Memorial Library is located at 91 Coopers Farm Road in Southampton. For more information call 631-283-0774.
