Chefs Prepare To Shine At Chefs And Champagne Event

Wolfgang Puck at the upcoming
James Beard Foundation's annual summer gala, Chefs And Champagne. Over the course of his illustrious career, Wolfgang has been honored with many awards and accolades, including the coveted James Beard Award for Outstanding Chef of the Year, twice, plus Outstanding Restaurant of the Year for Spago Beverly Hills and Outstanding Service Award for Spago, Beverly Hills. His Food Network program, "Wolfgang Puck," won Daytime Emmy Awards for two consecutive years.
The Chefs And Champagne gala will be held on Saturday, July 26 at the Wölffer Estate Vineyards at 139 Sagg Road in Sagaponack, where 30 remarkable chefs will provide a lavish tasting for guests. The event raises funds for the James Beard Foundation, a not-for-profit charitable organization. The cost of the evening is $195 for members and $275 for non-members. New Lobster Roll At Turtle Crossing!
Turtle Crossing (221 Pantigo Road, East Hampton, 631-324-7166) has added a new lobster roll to their menu. The Turtle Crossing Southwestern Lobster roll is served in a traditional bun with red leaf lettuce and topped with tomatoes and served with coleslaw for $24. Turtle Crossing is now open seven days a week. They will be open Monday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Saturday from 12 noon to 11 p.m.; and Sunday from 12 noon to 10 p.m.
Ice Cream At The Surf Shack!
Surf Shack (2095 Montauk Highway, Amagansett, 631-267-6980) now serves ice cream, gelato and sorbet to help you cool down after a long hot beach day. Come in and choose from over 30 flavors with assorted toppings! The Surf Shack will serve lunch and dinner daily with the bar open until closing.
Montauk Yacht Club Presents Live Musical Entertainment With The Chuck "E" Band
Montauk Yacht Club Resort & Marina (32 Star Island Road, Montauk, 631-668-3100) presents a special series of live entertainment concerts from July 13 through July 27. The Chuck "E" Band will be performing on Sunday, July 13 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Breezes Café located at the Montauk Yacht Club. The band will perform a combination of Reggae, country, 1970s through 1990s and today's hits. There will be no charge for the performance.
